Painting Light and Colour in the Landscape
My home is in Wormit, in North-East Fife, where I live upon the shores of the River Tay. Experience of the daily and seasonal changes of light which are so particular to the landscape, has nurtured my visual sensitivities to the visible world. Painting directly from nature, I can transcend from the passivity of observation to a more active participation, whereby my interest in the Light and Colour of the landscape may be developed and sustained.
